After the most wonderful and horrendous year of my life (check out Lydia’s Story), I’ve begun more and more to feel the need to create. In the time my daughter was alive and in the months after her death when I’ve dreaded leaving home, I’ve found myself longing for small activity. This has begun to reveal itself in different ways including little art projects, felting, taking pictures (which I’ve always loved to do) and baking.

I’m hoping with the start of a new blog, my creative desire will continue and I’ll have more and more new and exciting things to share with people, whoever you are.

I chose the name Make Me New based on this scripture:

“And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Now the dwelling of
God is with men, and He will live with them.
They will be His people, and God Himself will be
with them and be their God.
He will wipe every tear from their eyes.
There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain,
for the old order of things has passed away.”
He who was seated on the throne said,
“I am making everything new!”
Revelation 21:3-5

This isn’t the new heaven and new earth yet, but I know He is working now as I look ahead to the day when my tears will be wiped away. Until then, I’ll bake. I’ll felt. I’ll take pictures. I’ll teach. I’ll keep moving forward.

Thanks for stopping by!
